Cupping and guasha are bodywork techniques that are becoming very popular, as they are widely used by athletes to relieve myofascial pain and sports injuries. Its application can even improve organ function, reduce inflammation, and even break up scar tissue and cellulite. Read more about it here.
Cupping, for Muscular Tension & Liver Inflammation
Tuina is akin to acupressure and deep-tissue massage. It involves many techniques that help undo muscle knots and release trigger points in muscles. Tuina is one of my favorite techniques, and I think you’ll love it, too.
Moxibustion is often applied alongside acupuncture. Dry herbs, such as mugwort, are burnt near acupuncture points to warm the region, improve circulation and reduce pain. It is excellent for arthritis, and those who often feel cold and tense. Read more here.
